Hardware Architecture
The Katana Controlboard Hardware consists of the following parts:
- One TI TMS320 32bit motor controller per axis (6).
- CAN bus
- PPC controlboard with 32MB Flash, 64MB RAM
- integrated digital I/O extension board
- Ethernet hub
- USB device
- USB host
- CAN connector
Controlboard
The controlboard of the Katana has been custom-designed to meet all the requirements for industrial integration. Here is a picture of the raw board:
