Katana4D

Description

The programming software “Katana4D”, developed for industrial applications, allows easy programming of the robotic arm. Knowledge of other programming languages is not required.
In a simple manner the user can create programs using a script language and teach-in functions. To teach positions and movements, the robot is guided by hand and, if necessary, fine tuning is made by a simple mouse click. All programming commands are available in an easy to use, well structured library.

Features

- Solution wizard: guides the user in simple steps through programming a “Pick and Place” task.

- Precise manual movement of the robot in the base and tool coordinate system using the hand control features.

- User-friendly functions for the easy programming:

        o Any number of “Pick and Place” grids
        o Point lists
        o Path recording while moving the robot by hand (playback in
           both directions, optimisation of the recorded movements)

- Linear paths, circular paths, trajectories (combination of several linear and circular movements)

- Collision detection: On contact with an obstacle or a person, the robot stops immediately

- Easy integration of input and output signals

- Numerous standard interfaces:

          o Digital I/Os (actuators, sensors, PLC)
          o File communication (vision systems, machine control
             systems, LabView and other software)
          o USB interface
          o Internet protocol TCP/IP
          o USB/MPI adapter for Siemens S7
          o ModBus TCP
          o Ethernet interface for the Millenium 3 PLC

- Extended logs

- Import/export of projects, programs, profiles, grids, point lists and whole databases

- Additionally available modules:

        - Neural network for object recognition
        - Web Services
        - Voice control
        - Joystick control
        - Webots simulation software

- Well structured administration and simultaneous control of several Katanas or Katana profiles
